This post is part of a campaign for the One2One Network and makes me eligible for a prize drawing. Still, I’ll try to make it worth the read. All opinions are my own because no one else would give me any.
My kids are growing up fast. Since we went bowling this time last year, both my sons have moved to another state to work and go to school. I’m not quite sure how this happened since I am still totally young.
We still have our daughters at home, thank goodness, so I still have an excuse to read YA literature, watch animated movies, and listen to Top 40 radio. It’s all to stay in touch with my children, I swear. Also, twerking is fun and if I do it while I cook dinner, it guarantees my girls will NEVER twerk.
Twerking is the type of dancing all the rage right now. Basically, you squat and pump your hips forward and backward. Some people can do it and it’s cool. I look like I’m having a seizure.
Despite my sick dance moves, I’m lucky my kids still talk to me and seem to want to spend time with me. This summer, I’m on the hunt for low-cost family fun. Our house is affected by sequestration and are way cutting back until fall.
For the last few summers, we’ve signed up for the AMF Summer Unplugged program. This year it’s even better. Instead of being emailed a printable voucher each week, now you’ll get a card on your first AMF visit to use for the length of the promotion. And if (when) I forget to bring my card, they can just look me up right there with no fuss.
AMF has two great programs. Summer Unplugged is for kids and Summer Pass is for adults. This is especially good for a family with college kids home for the summer. Not all my kids are still kids!
Fact-type details from AMF:
- One simple sign-up, no coupons to be emailed or printed! Simply present your membership card or your name at your local AMF center and you’re all set to go.
- Also new this year for Summer Unplugged members is the “Stay and Play” option. Additional games can be added for just $1.49. So if the competition is hot and the weather is hotter, you can keep the strikes coming and stay cool for less!
- The Summer Unplugged and Summer Pass programs run May 13, 2013 through September 2, 2013. Members can redeem their bowling games every day from open until 8pm using their membership pass, member ID, first name or other unique identifier.
- With over 250 locations, AMF is where America goes bowling! Find an AMF Bowling Center near you.
Bonus! I have a giveaway for you. It’s for a Pizza Bowl Certificate ($70 value) good for 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental, one 1-topping pizza and a pitcher of soda for up to 6 people on a lane.
Just leave me a comment below telling me the best thing about bowling, besides the stylish shoes. This gives me your email address (used only for the drawing). Void where prohibited. One entry per person. I’ll use a random number program to draw a winner on July 15. Winner will have 36 hours from time email is sent to claim prize or a new winner will be selected. Good luck!
EDITED TO ADD: This giveaway is now closed. Winner is #2, Amanda. Congratulations!
