We got a new kitty!
The old kitty is not pleased.
The Chihuahua is neutral on the matter of the new kitty. As long as I still rub her tummy.
I should probably crop this picture.
Fall has come to Virginia. It’s the middle of September, so you know what that means.
Christmas decorations will be out soon.
We’re still recovering her from our two disasters.
Our church was damaged by Hurricane Irene. And we’d just updated the roof.
And in Louisa, some of the damage from the destruction from the earthquake last month will take longer to repair.
This house has lost the chimneys on the other side, as well.
The biggest news here was the reason for the new kitty.
My littlest had a birthday!
I’m glad we got her the kitten. One, she really wanted one. Two, since my real baby is so big now I have a little fur baby I can speak to in a ridiculous high-pitched voice.
Did you do anything special last week? Plans for this week?
Check out my giveaway of a large brown Missoni for Target tote, ending soon.

Congratulations on the kitten – and the birthday!
Thanks, Raejean. It’s hard having my baby be so big. You know what it’s like.
Congratulations! I am still trying not to cave on the cat issue-literally found myself saying in my grown up voice to my husband last night “We are not getting a cat”.
So glad that weathered (pardon the pun) the storm ok, so sorry about the church damage.
We were really so lucky at my church. There were some many big trees down it could have been way worse.
The cat thing has been a toss-up. The kitten is adorable, my daughter is in love with it, but the extra cat poop… Resist!
That’s such a great birthday present, and what a cute kitty it is!!!
I can’t believe the holidays are coming!!!
I just hate how we are in a greased chute to Christmas as soon as the kids are back in school.
Too soon!
I’ve always loved all those beautiful brick homes in the East that we don’t have here in the West, but now I see why we don’t have them. Who thinks there is going to be an earthquake in Virginia? I sure didn’t.
Happy Birthday to your little girl. And congratulations on her brand new kitty!
It was shockingly big. And we continue to have aftershocks.
There were a half-dozen over the weekend.
My dear daughter wants to know if you’ve named the new kitty.
Also, you totally stole the “heart” riff off of Pioneer Woman’s needed but not found butterfly, didn’t you?
No?
Then I’ll explain what I’m referring to.
She mentioned that Charlie’s hinderparts needed a butterfly, with an emphasis on BUTTerfly this morning. It was adorable.
Pinky is her name-o!
I looked at PW’s site. I had not seen that. I was mostly trying to spare you the sight of chihuahua vajayjay.
Awwww. I wuv widdle kitties. My daughter had a birthday yesterday. Thankfully she didn’t want a kitten. *whew*
Lucky you. I figure this daughter will be grown and out in seven or eight years (sob!) and the cat will live in my house for possibly a decade after that.
I should have just bought her an iPod.
Suh-weet!
The kitten, not the hurricane and the earthquake.
It is fully adorable. I do think when we picked it out, she was still under the influence of the surgical drugs from getting fixed. She’s way more active now. Like Kiity-on-Red-Bull active.
Congrats on the new Kitty! She is adorable, and I’m sure will make a great addition to the family.
(Our stores have already had Christmas decorations out since mid-August! 🙄 )
I want a Chihuahua! & cute kittie 🙂
Stopping in from the Alexa hop. I’m your newest follower on gfc!
Nice to meet you, Krystal! I’ll be stopping back by your blog soon!
