I have four smiley kids. Well, fifty percent smiley right now. I used to have a one hundred percent smile rate, but then the testosterone kicked in.
In the twenty-two years I’ve been a mom, I’ve been the lucky recipient of a million smiles. The very first smiles are particularly wonderful, as are the smiles generated by theme parks, bunnies, and the ice cream truck.
I remember one very special photograph where we were on vacation and all four kids were smiling at the same time. If you’ve ever taken four kids on vacation and tried to take a picture, you’ll know how rare this is.
I’ve had two after-braces-come-off grins, three rounds of twinkles in Disney World, and seventy cumulative Christmas beams. It’s undeniable I’m a very lucky mom.
Last winter after a bad round of the flu struck my house, I saw one of the best smiles ever: the Feel-Better Smile. Every parent knows that one. It’s the first smile after your child has recovered from illness. After that, a minivan’s weight of worry lifts off your shoulders.
I have received information and products from McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., the makers of TYLENOL®. The opinions stated are my own. This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks to introduce you to Tylenol’s SMILING IT FORWARD™ campaign. I’m SMILING IT FORWARD™ because I’ve been a mom through twenty-two cold seasons, hundreds of pediatrician visits, and a few dozen bottles of Children’s Tylenol.
By sharing a photo that makes you smile at SmilingItForward.com, TYLENOL® will make a $1 donation to Children’s Health Fund, helping to ensure a doctor’s visit is always within reach for children in need.
I encourage you to post your own favorite smilers on SmilingItForward.com to help another parent become the recipient of her own favorite smile.
