This has been the year of “Have Less, Have Better” at my house. We’ve eaten less processed foods and more fresh fruits and vegetables.
It’s been great for our health and even our grocery budget.
Before, when we were pinching every penny because I had to, the kids hated the cheap cereal I bought.
Later, when I could afford cereal from the health food store, the kids hated it because it was all “bark and twigs” to them.
Kellogg’s cereals seem to be in that Goldilocks “Just Right” zone. It’s a premium grocery store cereal at a good price, they love the varieties, and I love the nutrition they get.
I was really impressed that Kellogg’s maintains the quality that has made it a top brand for a century while adapting to modern dietary needs with their gluten-free cereals. My youngest was thrilled to see gluten-free Rice Krispies in our house, because that meant Rice Krispie treats!
Kellogg’s wants you to know you can “Start Simple, Start Right” with their cereal every morning.
They know they are helping you serve your family a healthy breakfast because Kellogg’s knows it’s providing you with great ingredients they’ve followed from seed to spoon.
These days when food can be so complicated with a list of ingredients as long as your arm, it’s nice to feed your family something simple and good.
If you are interested in learning more about how Kellogg’s brings corn, rice and wheat from seed to spoon, check out the following videos. [pending]
If you haven’t tried Kellogg’s gluten-free Rice Krispies, give them a try. We thought they were very tasty and made excellent Rice Krispie treats.
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kellogg’s. I received sample products to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.

we love cereal in our house =) this is a great read!! thx for posting!!
Thanks, Julie. With four kids, cereal is a staple here.
Hi Notasupermom,
My parents once brought home a version of frit loops from the local co-op when I was a kid. After a bite, I was horrified to discover that they were vegetable flavors, not fruit! Euw!
Have a great day.

That is the funniest thing I’ve heard today, Jennifer. Who would make that! Yuck!
ditto I feel guilty giving them cereal most days but that is what they want and we dont buy sugary stuff!
I don’t feel guilty about buying a good cereal from Kellogg’s, seriously. I’ve been reading the linked information about their Seed-to-Spoon initiative and am pretty impressed.
We love our Kelloggs cereal at my home!!
I was so excited to see the gluten-free rice krispies. It’s one of those cereals that everyone likes, so knowing that Kellogg’s has been able to give a gluten-free version makes me anticipate the other cereals that may be going GF in the near future. Great post.
I’m Post girl myself, but I do love Rice Krispies.
We Kellog folks here, Raisin Bran is a great go to breakfast for us.
