I was going to start a new giveaway today, but I’m on day six of the flu and not up to it yet.Imagine me wan, reclining on the couch and clutching a bouquet of camellias.

Except I’m in a ratty bathrobe with dirty hair clutching a bouquet of Kleenex.
There were some good things this week. Today I found out a blog I like gave me a Post Of the Week award!
Check out Hilary’s blog The Smitten Image. She takes beautiful photographs and is obviously a connoisseur of the finer things.
Something else that is making me happy this week is the album Sigh No More from Mumford and Sons. I saw this English folk-rock band perform on the Grammys last week and loved their sound.
While I cough and listen, I’m knitting (trying to knit) this gorgeous beret from Kate Jackson Knits.
The pattern is called “Poppy” and I’m making it with one strand of cashmere Superior and one strand of merino Nirvana from Filatura Di Crosa. I’m making it in raspberry and fuchsia, respectively.
The wonderful lady at the LYS said I should get two hats out of the yarn. I hope so, because the cashmere was a splurge.
I’ve finally gotten into Twitter and find myself addicted. It’s such a fun way to talk to people. I’ve learned pretty fast if something is a trending topic it’s either dirty or because someone is dead.
I’m @notasupermom if you are a twitterer. Tweeter. Whatever.
I’m a busy lady and I’m sure my husband and kids would like to have me back in order soon.
Any favorite things this week? Sick too? Is winter over?

The good thing ofr me this week is SNOW! wahoo. Hoping we get several inches overnight. Weatherman is calling for 8. I'll believe THAT when I see it.
Poor you.. I hope you're feeling better soon.
I love Mumford and Sons.. I'm glad they're getting recognition.
Thanks so much for the linkage. 🙂
Robin, more snow? Oy!
Hilary, thank you! I'm a fan, so super tickled at the recognition.
Sweet rolls from Costco, and a stack of paperbacks from Target, those are my favorite things this week.
Oh, sorry you are sick. I have had the winter crud for about two weeks. I had not taken so many afternoon naps since my kids were toddlers. Finally, on Tuesday morning I woke up and my first words to my husband were, "I think I feel good this morning!" Like it was a news flash he needed to hear.
Feel Better Soon!
Sunshine…I think it is top of the list for me.
Indoor plumbing is another one.
Coffee first thing in the morning, even if it is only one cup of 50% decaf…bring it on.
Hope you are feeling better REAL SOON!

My son likes Mumford & Sons. Y'all are so on the same wave length.
I know that someday, somewhere down the road, he'll use duct tape on his kids, too.
In our minds you're always Bette Davis in her prime. Feel better soon!
