Last summer I wrote about AMF’s summer programs. My family took advantage of their kids’ free bowling and the discount summer pass for adults. Money well spent for lots of summer fun!
We went bowling several times at the AMF lanes near our house and it was so much fun. My sons are in college and my girls are several years younger, so it’s tricky to find something that’s fun and appropriate for all six of us.
While my husband was ordering our insanely awesome chili cheese fries, I took a picture of our swanky rented shoes.
We had a great time bowling (I won). The kids and my husband all enjoyed it (I won). We all got exercise, ate some tasty snacks, and spent that elusive quality time together. And I won!
It’s not hard to win in my family. You just have to keep the ball in your lane, not hit the bumpers too hard, and break 100.
What we like about bowling at AMF is how cool and dark it is during the hottest days of summer. It’s clean, with friendly staff. Just a nice place to have fun with your whole family.

The best thing about bowling is the long walk back to your chair after a gutter ball.
