It’s not too much of a stretch to guess that with a name like Parris, I love things related to Paris, France.
It’s possible my husband’s family was originally from the capital of France several centuries ago and took the location as a surname before moving to Ireland and then on to America. Whatever the source, it ties right into my love of all things French.
I love asking for our reservation at a French restaurant. The maître d’ gets so excited to welcome Madame de Paris that I don’t bother to correct the spelling (but my husband will!)
Collecting is just not-dusting away from hoarding, so color me supris when I, a non-collector, looked around and counted all the things France or Eiffel Tower-related in my house. My most treasured item is an inexpensive mid-century print of Notre Dame that once hung in my grandparents’ house in Nashville, the Paris of Tennessee. Minted.com, one of my favorite websites for printed paper goods, asked me to do a site review. I just couldn’t bear to do a Christmas card post this soon, even though they are on sale and will come with the envelopes addressed. So, instead of that, I decided to curate a collection of all the cool things they have that are inspired by France.
They are giving me a credit in exchange for me writing this, so you might see a Christmas card review post out of me sooner or later. With my record with Christmas cards, smart odds are on later.
I like Minted.com so much, I’m an affiliate. That means if you click through on some of my links on this post, I get a small percentage any sales. Shop away, mes amis! Maman needs to buy:
I'm past needing wedding or baby announcements, but I see a package of Eiffel Tower birthday cards in my future, if not a print of Parisian rooftops in the size and frame style of my choice.
Merci, Minted!

I’ve seen some really cute things with minted.com! Fun to do a Paris related card!
Oui oui! So fun to have a name you can riff on like this. I have never shopped at Minted but have been meaning to check it out!
I’ve never tried out minted. Never heard of it in fact. Might have to check it out.
I love Minted. And I just may be ordering our Christmas cards from there this year. 🙂
