I hope this sponsored post I wrote for Invisalign for National Smile Week makes you smile!
Most kids get their teeth fixed before the end of high school. I’ve had a much longer journey to get the smile I wanted.
Getting braces was something I’d always wanted for myself. Due to life, kids, work, I’d put it off until I thought I was just too old to be happy with having metal mouth for a couple of years.
When I was a kid one of my girl scout leaders had metal braces. Sure, it was silly of me, but I thought braces looked ridiculous on an “old” lady in her middle thirties. When I was in my mid-thirties, I wanted to improve my smile, but I still didn’t want train-track braces.
Part of my concern was a sensitivity I’d developed to metal. Now I know it shouldn’t have been a problem, but in my mind I couldn’t get past the thought I could get braces installed just to have my lips puff up like a Real Housewife’s.
I’m a happy Invisalign patient. I think it’s the best thing I ever did for myself. It makes me feel confident, and I think my teeth were so crooked before that I was at increased risk for dental problems because my teeth were hard to clean.
If you’d like to learn more about Invisalign, follow them on Facebook to ask questions of their patient community. Also, go to the Invisalign website to take their smile assessment to see if the treatment is a good choice for you.
Now that I’m happier with my teeth, I see that the real beauty in a smile is in the sincerity of the eyes and the warmth of genuine emotion. It so much more than flashing straight teeth.
I hope that my beautiful teeth will now match the great smile I had all along.

Love that smile!
Thanks, babe! 🙂
