I’m not too picky about a lot of things. There are brands I prefer in everything from purses to ketchup, but I tend to be content with anything. However there are categories of things I want to be very good quality: shoes, husbands, skin care.
I’ve used really good-quality skin care the last few years. Blogging helps. I get great samples from dermatologist-only skin care lines. I’ll tell you more about that later. For now, prepare yourself for a picture of me with no makeup on.
She Speaks sent me a lovely full-sized bottle of Lancôme DreamTone. I’ve been using it twice a day (for the most part) for the last month.
Esthetically, the bottle is lovely and the cream itself is a pearly pink and lightly floral. I am very sensitive to scent, especially on my face at night, but this product didn’t bother me at all.
I noticed no break-in period when I started using DreamTone. It didn’t burn or tingle. It made my skin soft and dewy. I still applied my regular moisturizer over it for SPF benefits after my morning application.
I’m hoping for prevention of dark spots and fine lines. I don’t really notice those too much yet, but I’m 43, so it’s definitely time to think about those things.
Overall I liked the product. I plan on continuing to use it and I might purchase it again. Thanks to Lancôme and She Speaks for selecting me for this test. I was not compensated beyond the free product, or required to write about anything in particular or give a certain opinion.
Okay, get your sunglasses and look at my image reflected in the nearest shiny object—here’s my bare skin. I put on mascara eight hours ago, but nothing besides that. Lancôme is not responsible for my hormonal stress breakout. I blame my children for that!
